Our Mission
De-risking your operational investments is our mission at aixprocess. What makes us unique? We transfer digitally-generated knowledge into real world engineering solutions - which safeguard the value of your assets and de-risk your operations.
Our tried-and-tested digital modelling tools have mitigated technological and financial risks for over 500 customers worldwide, who have entrusted their operational know-how and data to our team.
aixprocess speaks both the customer’s systems language as well as the modeller’s digital equivalent. This is how we translate real-world business requirements to subject matter experts, to achieve spectacular results. The unique combination of process expertise with digital twins makes aixprocess one-of-a-kind. We care about the big picture of a process as much as we do the smallest details.
With over 20 years' experience in applying cutting-edge simulation and digitalisation tools, we uncover the hidden efficiency potential in your process. Through digital simulations, we accelerate new product developments and time-to-value for our customers. Value is achieved far ahead of the traditional methods - which often still use traditional phased approaches.
For our customers' journey towards sustainable industrial production, we tackle both smart optimisation of existing processes with the resulting short-term benefits, alongside the development of new technology geared towards long-term wins. By calculating scenarios before going into production, along with prototypes or unproven equipment, we can shave off millions in start-up costs, while maximising returns on investments and accelerating time-to-value.
Our History
The company's roots go back to the late 1990s, at the RWTH Aachen University of Technology - one of the pre-eminent German engineering universities. The founders Martin Weng and Markus Hufschmidt worked on cutting-edge academic applications of simulation technology in the process industry. Early adopters from industry took advantage of this collaboration, and began to see the value of predicting unintended outcomes of process changes before they became mission-critical. That was the starting point of a service-oriented business model that introduced digital expert tools in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) into companies - regardless of size or industry. This customer-focused model enabled early adopters to get a fast grip on process optimisation, generating smarter engineering solutions. The value today remains still the same: by simulating potential scenarios in a virtual world, customers can mitigate or eliminate operational risk and maximise profitability in real-time.
Our Corporate Values
We are seen by our customers as a trusted advisor and partner who contributes not only expertise and added value, but competitive insights from similar industries which can reduce time-to-profitability. By overdelivering and underpromising, aixprocess adapts each and every engagement to customer needs and definitions of success. We take the position of an asset owner ourselves, viewing challenges through the eyes of our customers and continuously improving what and how we deliver value.
- Innovation
-
We are proud of our willingness to pivot to meet not only the unique needs of each customer, but to where the market is headed. We know past performance is no guarantee for future success. Only by challenging the status quo and constantly striving for new and better solutions and technologies, can we remain relevant.
- Employee Orientation
-
We take very seriously the duty of care we have not only for our customers, but for our employees and their families. We encourage cultural diversity and expression, bearing in mind the unique needs of our employees as we work together as a team. We give our employees the freedom to develop their own ideas, to be decisionmakers, and to take on leadership roles and responsibilities. We accept personal accountability for our actions and intervene quickly when we identify gaps in our approach or delivery. Only the performance, commitment and resilience of each and every employee can lead to our overall success.
- Environment
-
Sustainable ESG means for us also taking responsibility for our environment as well as our social and other commitments to make the world a better place. Through the careful use of resources, we seek to support our own and customer environmental commitments to reduce emissions and to mitigate the effects of climate change.
